Concrete and rock splitting
Hydraulic rock and concrete splitters provide a powerful and extremely cost effective alternative to other demolition techniques. Hydraulic splitting means controlled splitting, and this method eliminates shock waves, vibrations, dust and noise compared to other impact methods.
Conventional demolition methods destroy rock and concrete by using an external force. However, because of their compressive strength, these materials are highly resistant to impact forces.
On the other hand rock and concrete have a low tensile strength, and this is where the splitting system takes control. By drilling a small 48mm hole through the material, the splitting wedge set can be inserted to complete the split. One splitter on its own has a splitting force of up to 413 tons or 4048KN. Large volumes of material can be shifted quite quickly using this system.
